Carolyn Ng is the co-manager of NASA's Sun-Earth Connection Education Forum team. As an Earth and Space Education Specialist at Goddard Space Flight Center, she helps coordinate many outreach activities to bring space science data into classrooms and museums. She was born and raised in Hong Kong, and moved to New York City for college. She graduated with a degree in Physics, and went on to Pennsylvania State University for a master's degree in Geophysics. When she started working at NASA, she managed data that were returned by satellite missions and distributed them to professors, students, and anyone who were interested in the study of earth and space. These data covered from the surface of Earth to the atmosphere, and eventually to the Sun.
She was also involved with summer internship programs and minority outreach.
